Mel Hilbrown receives an Outstanding Contribution award from the NEN

At the recent National Enterprise Network (NEN) annual conference, Chairman Alex Till presented Mel with an award for Outstanding Contribution.  The NEN is the member organisation for Enterprise Agencies.

Alex said: “The award is in recognition of the exceptional work of an individual at one of our member organisations. When NEN first heard of the retirement of one of the most respected individuals in the Enterprise sector they knew that they should recognise all of the great work he has done.

Having joined STANTA in 2004 as Executive Director & Business Adviser Mel has become the well-respected face of STANTA and has always been great at finding sources of funding by engaging with the right stakeholders. He thrives on advising start-ups and new businesses and his enthusiasm is obvious.

Mel has always been an active member of NEN, always keen to support with his opinions and input, he will be greatly missed”

Well done Mel! Mel will be stepping down as Executive Director in early January and interviews are taking place for a successor.
