Rebecca Youngs, from The Social Den

Rebecca joined the Herts Start Up Programme with STANTA in the Autumn 2019 having re-trained as a digital marketing specialist and she had started her business the previous July.  She had a business advice meeting with Mark, then attended numerous training courses, including Mailerlite and Blogging for Beginners.  Her feedback questionnaire asked: “What are the main areas in which you feel the advice from STANTA has already made or will make a difference.  Her reply was: “Rethinking my pricing and the services I offer”, “rethinking my target clients” and “Thinking about all the other costs involved in running business”.

In late Autumn she was awarded a match funded grant, which she used for a new website, with consistent branding and professional photography.  Her business grew gradually and STANTA asked Rebecca to become their trainer on their ‘Introduction to Social Media’ courses and ‘FB & Instagram for business’ and feedback about her courses was excellent – clients were impressed by her extensive knowledge (particularly about Instagram) and were amazed at how much information was imparted in two hours.  Rebecca also picked up paying clients after running a course, so it was a win win for everybody.

When COVID hit in March 2020, Rebecca moved her business completely on line and with her daily Instagram posts giving live lessons on reels, stories and posts, she built up a huge following and subsequent clients, resulting in her having a very successful year.
