Viewpoint Mental Health First Aid Training

Katherine Clarke is part of the Mental Health First Aid Instructor Team at Viewpoint. They’re currently planning several full Mental Health First Aider training courses to be held over the next nine months, and if you’re interested, they would love to work with the local businesses within Hertfordshire to train staff in Mental Health First Aid.
Viewpoint is a mental health and service user charity offering support and community to people in Hertfordshire living with mental health and addiction challenges, and they provide a voice for anyone engaged with local health and social care services and/or organisations. Their work also involves education and training, such as Mental Health First Aid.
They have been able to secure funding for a series of Mental Health First Aid courses from the National Lottery Community Fund, which allows them to offer this training for free to certain organisations working in the community, and they would like to extend this offer to businesses within Hertfordshire.

Their courses will be held online and will involve four Live Sessions to be held on Zoom, and individual learning to be undertaken by attendees on MHFA England’s Online Learning Hub and using the course manual. Attendees will be supported throughout by our Instructor Team, who will in turn be supported by Viewpoint and MHFA England.

At present, they have set the following dates and times for their courses:

Upon completion of the course, attendees will be qualified as Mental Health First Aiders, and will receive a certificate and extra resources they can use in their role. The manual used during the course is also designed to be a primary resource to practising Mental Health First Aiders, and will provide them with useful guidance and contacts they can use.
If any business would be interested in putting forward delegates for this training, or if you have any questions or would like further information, please do get in touch.
