Any business under 5 years in St Albans or Harpenden and surrounding areas (postcodes AL1-5) are eligible to join.
The process starts by arranging a one to one meeting with an experienced business adviser (we will match your needs to the business adviser) who will review what you’ve done so far and answer all your questions. The day after the meeting, you will receive an email summarising the suggested action points and you are encouraged to book a follow up meeting about three weeks later to review your progress. Support is available in all areas of business, including:
- Writing a business plan (which is essential for any business)
- Preparing financial forecasts such as cash flow and profit & loss
- Marketing and networking
- Legal status advice (sole trader vs limited company)
- Keeping books/accounts and paying tax
- Terms and conditions
- Insurance
- Employing staff
- Growing your business
- ….. and much more
You then choose how you ‘use up’ your 12 hours by attending any of our courses on such subjects as:
- Social media marketing
- Grow your business
- GDPR & Data protection for small business
- Achieve more sales from yourwebsite
- LinkedIn for Business
- Setting up an online business
- Google Business Profile – set up and use
